At least nine people were killed in different acts of violence in city on Friday, police and rescue sources said. In a first incident man Ali, 25 was shot dead and other injured identified as Syed Nawaz when an unidentified assailants opened fire at them near Dawood intersection in Landhi in the limits of Alfalah Police Station. The body and injured were shifted to Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Center (JPMC) for medico-legal formalities.
A man was gunned down by unknown armed men in Miranaka area in the jurisdiction of Chakiwara Police Station. He was identified as Fazal Khaliq, 38, resident of Gulistan -e- Johar. The body was shifted to Civil Hospital. In another incident a man was killed by unknown armed men in PIB area in the limits of PIB Colony Police Station. He was identified as Farukh, 30, son of Mohammad Haroon. The body was shifted to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital for medico-legal formalities.
Separately, a young man was gunned down while two others injured by unknown gunmen in Ramswami area falling in the limits of Garden Police Station. The deceased was identified as Ozaifa, 22 while injured was identified as Amir and Kashif. The body and injured were shifted to Civil Hospital Karachi for medico-legal formalities and treatment.
Supermarket Police also found a bullet riddled body of a man from his house. The identity of the victim could not be ascertained till the filing of this report. The body was shifted to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital for post-mortem. In addition to that a woman was killed near KMC workshop in the limits of Garden Police Station. She was identified as Salma Bibi. The body was shifted to CHK for autopsy.
A man was gunned down in Khada Market area, Lyari falling in the limits of Baghdadi Police Station. He was identified as Rajo, who received two bullets in his forehead. The body was shifted to Civil Hospital. A man was shot dead in Kharadar area. He was identified as Mohamamd Farooq, 42-year old. The body was shifted to Civil Hospital. A man was killed in firing incident in Model Colony. The identity of the victim could not be ascertained.
