Honda CR-Z Mugen

A supercharged Mugen version of the Honda CR-Z is finally about to be unleashed. The beefed-up version of the sporty hybrid follows the storming one-off which appeared at the Goodwood Festival of Speed earlier this year.
Honda tuning division Mugen has worked its magic on the 1.5-litre engine, adding a centrifugal forced air induction system and remapping the ECU.
Power will be increased to 178bhp, which is 50 per cent more than the standard car. This will give a 0-60mph time of 6.1 seconds and a top speed over 130mph.
Mugen has also delivered a series of tweaks to improve the handling. A Honda insider has confirmed a price of £23,000 - the current range-topping CR-Z costs £20,800. A Honda insider said: "We have deliberately tried to keep the price down. There is no point in doing a £30,000 CR-Z."
The model will be rolled out across Britain's eight Mugen dealers in February before going on sale across the entire Honda network in the summer.

Suspected suicide bomber killed near Kuchlak

QUETTA: A suspected suicide bomber was killed near the Kuchlak area of Quetta, on Tuesday when his explosive-laden jacket detonated.
“The bomber hired a taxi cab and wanted to go to Chaman, a town bordering Afghanistan, with intention to target someone but his suicide vest exploded,” Superintendent of Police (SP), Malik Arshid told the media.
According to the Bomb Disposal Squad (BDS), about 2.5kg of explosive material was used in the explosion.
Quoting the taxi driver, SP Arshid said that the bomber hired a cab near Kuchlak and wanted to go Chaman.  “The taxi driver stopped by a village near Kuchlak, to pick someone who also wanted to go to Chaman. However, the bomber got out of the cab and lay down on the road after which the explosion took place.” he said.
SP Arshid said that it appears that the bomber wanted to target someone in Chaman or somewhere in the district Qila Abdullah.
Police took the driver into custody for questioning and barred the media from interviewing him, for security reasons.
SP Arshid also showed the body of the suspected suicide bomber to journalists.

The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Review

Say goodbye to real life
I was stacking books on a shelf in my house in Whiterun, one of Skyrim's major cities, when I noticed a weapon rack right beside it. I set a sacrificial dagger in one slot, an Orcish mace in the other. They were on display for nobody but me and my computer-controlled housecarl, Lydia, who sat at a table patiently waiting for me to ask her to go questing. The chest upstairs was reserved for excess weapons and armor, the bedside table for smithing ingots and ores, the one next to the Alchemy table for ingredients. I'd meticulously organized my owned virtual property not because I had to, but because tending to the minutia of domestic life is a comforting break from dealing with screaming frost trolls, dragons, a civil war, and job assignments that never seem to go as planned. It's even a sensible thing to do; a seemingly natural component of every day existence in Skyrim, one of the most fully-realized, easily enjoyable, and utterly engrossing role-playing games ever made.

Akbar Bugti Death: Balochistan issues arrest warrants for Musharraf, Aziz

QUETTA:

More than four years after the death of Baloch leader Nawab Akbar Bugti, the Balochistan government has issued warrants for the arrest of federal government members in charge of the operation which ended his life.
Former president Pervez Musharraf, former prime minister Shaukat Aziz and former chief minister Jam Yousaf are wanted by the provincial government, sources have revealed.
The matter now rests with the federal government, after the provincial government followed the Balochistan High Court’s wishes.
Earlier this month, Justice Qazi Faez Essa, the Chief Justice of the Balochistan High Court, had called for those connected with the incident who currently live abroad to be returned to Pakistan.
The provincial government forwarded the arrest orders to the federal government on the BHC’s directives.
Bugti, a former Minister of State for Interior and Governor of Balochistan, was killed on August 26, 2006, after a long stand-off with the Pakistani military. Musharraf said his death was a victory for Pakistan; however, news that Bugti was killed sparked mass protests in Balochistan.
Following a period of terrorism in the province, Bugti was blamed as the leader responsible for the violence. He was eventually killed in Kohlu, about 150 miles east of Quetta.

‘Really’ is how Aziz responded to Bugti’s murder

Mazhar Tufail
Saturday, November 05, 2011

ISLAMABAD: Initial response of former Prime Minister Shaukat Aziz, who has contended in his letter presented in the Balochistan High Court in Nawab Akbar Bugti case, that he was not involved in any way in killing was “really.”

It may be recalled that when this correspondent had broken this news through the largest private television network of the country, Geo News, Shaukat Aziz was having dinner with a few businessmen at the Prime Minister House in Islamabad that was to be followed by his meetings with some ministers but those meetings were delayed by him on the pretext of some personal engagement.

An important member of his cabinet, who was included in the cabinet on the recommendation of General Pervez Musharraf, was with Shaukat Aziz late at night. As soon as the news of the assassination of Nawab Bugti broke, the same minister made a telephone call to this correspondent from the Prime Minister House and sought the confirmation of the news report. Interestingly, when this correspondent shared details of the report with the minister, he was surprised that so much information has reached media.

The same federal minister told this correspondent in the meantime that after getting relieved from the dinner engagement, Shaukat Aziz was taking ‘Qahwa’ in the inner lobby of the Prime Minister House and when the minister informed him about the details, he had received from this correspondent he only said: “Really.”
