6 years old boy killed in Karachi firing

KARACHI: In yet another terrifying incident, a six-year-old boy was shot in the face while standing at his balcony when five culprits were on the run from an enraged mob within the limits of Jamshed Quarter police station.

Five culprits were looting people on Guru Mandir Road, which enraged the residents of the area, who tried to capture them. The culprits made a run for their lives. When they reached Darpan Bazaar, they opened fire to scare the enraged mob, resultantly a bullet hit Farhan in the face. The kid was rushed to the Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre where he breathed his last. The mob got hold of two of the five culprits. Luckily for the culprits, the police intervened and arrested them, otherwise they might have been beaten to death. 

Addressing media, Deputy Inspector General East Shahid Hayat said the arrested culprits' names were Zahid Baloch and Bashir Baloch who belonged to Lyari gang war group. Two TT pistols have been recovered from their possession and further investigation was underway.
