GENEVA: Exiled Baloch leader Brahamdagh Bugti said Friday that the time for conferences and talks on Balochistan had passed. He said this in reply to a question regarding the recently held conference on Balochistan.
In an interview to BBC Urdu, Bugti said he was always ready to speak for the rights of the ethnic Baloch living in the province, not the Pashtuns who reside in Balochistan.
Bugti added that the issue of Balochistan recently raised in the US Congress was not to put pressure on Pakistan but was in fact the result of efforts made by Baloch living abroad.
Commenting on the NATO supply passing through Balochistan, Bugti said it was essential to take Baloch representatives into confidence over the matter.
According to Bugti, the Baloch will also make a decision on any pipeline coming through the province.
