Two killed, 45 injured in bus blast: Mastung Balochistan


MASTUNG: At least two passengers were killed while 45 others including women and children injured in a roadside bomb blast in Dringer area here on Quetta-Taftan national highway, Monday morning.

Police told APP that unknown men planted explosive device in a motorcycle and parked it on Quetta-Taftan national highway in Dringer area. The bomb was detonated with remote control when a passenger bus namely 'Al-Usman coach' carrying commuters passed by. As a result, two passengers were killed and about 45 others injured.

The law enforcement agencies personnel soon after the incident rushed to the site and shifted the bodies and injured to District Headquarters Hospital Mastung and Bolan Medical College (BMC) hospital Quetta.

About 30 wounded were admitted to DHQ hospital Mastung and 15 others to BMC Quetta, a police official said adding that several injured include women and children. The ill-fated bus was heading towards Noshki after leaving Quetta.

The PS Wali Khan police have registered a case and started investigation into the incident. Further probe was underway. The law enforcement agencies have also launched search operation to trace and arrest the culprits.
